54th Annual Grammy Awards;Recap

Hey Folks,
The 54th Annual Grammy Awards have come and gone another year and it certainly was a great show.
Award shows, especially the Grammys, are like Christmas to me, the excitement, unexpected things , and the waiting for the final moment.
First of all did anyone notice not one thing about Gaga or Bieber was mentioned through-out the Grammy’s besides Gaga’s outfit which by the way, looked as though she was attending a funeral.
I am shocked, sarcasm folks, sarcasm.
Bruce Springsteen kicked off the show with a rocking performance that brought each and every artist to their feet, singing and clapping along, bringing positive vibes to the crowd who were all mourning the loss of a talented and never forgotten voice, thee Whitney Houston.
The host of the Grammys, LL Cool J gave a moving introduction honoring the late Houston, with a brief showing of her past Grammy performance of her hit “I Will Always Love You”. The crowd applauded at the end with a standing ovation.
Truly a sad ending to a beautiful talent, RIP W. Houston.
“Are we ready for music’s biggest night” he added to his opening speech.
Bruno Mars was the first performance of the night. It was uplifting to the audience after LL Cool J’s intro. This performance gave us a 50’s classic jazz vibe, a cross between Elvis hip shaking and Ray Charles I liked it!
Taylor Swift looked stunning as always, taking our breath away with her beauty and voice.
Adele took home the very first award of the night, winning Best Solo Artist, in the words of Lil Jon “YEEEAH”
Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson gave an outstanding performance together with their song “Don’t You Wanna Stay” with a minor microphone issue with Jason, Kelly’s powerful voice filled in without making it seem like anything was wrong.
With her ability to hold a note for a long period of time, Clarkson and Adele should defiantly collaborate.
The Foo Fighters killed it at the Grammy’s not only taking home multiple awards but their performance was just, Rock ON! They instantly brought the crowd to their feet as they brought down the Grammy house. I’m pretty sure a small earthquake was felt throughout LA during that time.
One of the moments I and the rest of the Grammy world had been waiting for was the song “Princess Of China”. With their completely different taste and sounds in the music industry, Rihanna and Coldplay created a musical masterpiece. With her Tina Turner look-alike hair, Rihanna was looking hot and fierce during the performance, starting with her song “We Found Love”, moments later Coldplay stepped in to perform Princess of China, and ending it with “Paradise”.
Best Rock Album went to The Foo Fighters who stated “It’s not about being perfect or computers” referring to having to be a good artist, David also stated that the record was basically made in his garage.
I was disappointed in the Beach Boys segment, with Maroon5 appearing with them for a song, which was a bad idea, it wasn’t the best. Also Foster the People took to the stage with the Beach Boys for a song. Despite looking terrified during the song, they sounded way better.
Moving on.
Wait, was that Johnny Depp at the Grammys? Oh never mind it was just the the guy from Civil Wars who looks ridiculously alike.
Taylor Swift took to the stage, with her band-jo sporting her lucky number on it, 13. While performing her song Mean, she sure looked as though she was Mean, through her sweet smile and devilish look, she brought emotion to that song by doing so. You go Swizzle.
Rocking the band-jo she’s never a disappointment. Even receiving a standing ovation!
Song of the year goes to…. Duh, Adele
Katy Perry made a grand performance, knocking out the power and not breaking down but breaking free. She looked and sounded like a goddess, killing it on stage. Hey Russell you really let HER, get away?
Finally all came silent as Jennifer Hudson paid tribute to Whitney Houston by belting out her powerful classic hit “I will always love you”, there is no other female singer who could have done it better.
Chris Martin’s leading lady, Gwyneth Paltrow introduced the voice we had all been waiting for, the voice of an absolute angel and the musical British queen, Adele.
So, what’s her overall performance rate you may ask?
Be right back, I have some broken windows to replace.

Cheers.

The 54th Grammys

Hi there.

February 12th marks the night of the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. I, am extremely excited to watch this. With Taylor Swift up for 3 Grammy nods, Best Country Album, Best Country Song, and Best Country Solo Performance, i hope to see Swift take home at least one, if not all three awards.

It’s been confirmed that Katy Perry will return to the spotlight after her recent split from husband Russell Brand. She is set to perform at the Grammys.

Another comeback is that of British sensation, voical-cords of an angel, and the unstoppable rising artist, Adele. She is set to make a performance at the Grammy’s after undergoing vocal surgery, she is bound to bring down the Grammy house with her amazing, powerful voice. I can’t wait!

“i could’ve been a princess, you’d be a king” Well she’s certainly not a Princess from China and he’s certainly not a king, but both are definitely living on top of the world with their music career’s. Rihanna came together with Coldplay on their latest album, Mylo Xyloto with the song “Princess Of China” which they will be performing at the Grammys. This should be one to watch.

Cheers!
